Design Guide
DIGITAL PRINTING
-
Digital printing is the standard print method available for all suites. This is where your design and text will be printed directly onto your card stock using a commercial grade printer for perfect quality every time. Digital print works best on white or light-coloured card stocks with darker ink shades. White ink and metallic pigments are also available if you want to use darker coloured card stocks or for that metallic edge without the cost of hot foil printing.
Digital printing works well for coloured designs and images such as florals and watercolours etc.
LETTERPRESS

At Whisky & Bloom we offer a letterpress option, where your stationery has hand mixed ink, pressed into the paper with a printing press, leaving a beautiful textured design.
HOT FOILING

We have an option of heat foil pressed stationery, where the foil is heated and pressed into the paper to create a beautiful finish on your stationery.
DIE CUTTING

We can Die Cut next to any shape imaginable! If you want something specific like stars, owls, or mushrooms, we can make it. We die cut everything in house at W&B HQ ensuring quality in every design.
EMBOSSING
-
With embossing, your design will be elevated from the paper for a textured three dimensional effect. Perfect for that extra luxury touch to your stationery.
PRESSURE FOILING

The perfect foiling for those on a tighter budget! We have pressure foiling that uses a pressured tip to apply the foil giving the same quality as the hot foil without the need for a mould or an overly letterpress look.
The Paper Choices
We have a few different paper options for you to choose from. Our most popular premium Tintoretto stock is available, along with Gmund Cotton, which has the soft textured feel of handmade paper without the cost. We also stock ColorPlan, which comes in a large variety of colours, as well as beautiful handmade paper sourced by a fellow small business called Northern Paper Co. in the north of England.
The Font
We have a large selection of fonts on hand for you to choose from. Below are just a few font combinations from our font book to give you an idea of the fonts we offer for your stationery. However, if there is a particular font you would like or none that takes your fancy in our collection, we can source a font specifically for your stationery to ensure it is perfect and according to your vision.
The Envelope Choices
We have 3 options of envelopes to choose from. Our classic premium envelopes come in a wide range of colours, ColorPlan envelopes with various shades and handmade envelopes from the same small business as our handmade paper. Have your envelopes match or have contrasting colours; either way, we have an option for you. That said, if there is a colour that doesn’t scream you, we can source other colours upon request.
WAX SEAL STAMP

We have a variety of wax seal stamp designs to choose from, accompanied by a wide variety of colours to match and compliment your stationery perfectly.
Digital printing works well for coloured designs and images such as florals and watercolours etc.
TWINE/JUTE

For those wanting a more rustic addition to their stationery, we have thin twine or a thick jute bow in both white and natural colour.
CHIFFON RIBBON

We have some beautiful options in a vast variety of colours to suit every style and colour scheme. We also offer silk upon request or velvet.
BELLY BAND/VELLUM WRAP

A gorgeous finishing touch with endless possibilities. We can print designs on here that match your stationery or custom illustrations for that extra pop to your stationery.
PAPERCLIP

This modern monochromatic embellishment is a perfect budget saver and makes every stationery set look beautiful with the teardrop paperclip in multiple colours, with other shapes upon request.
TASSELS DECOR

A perfect, classy addition to any invitation suite. This works perfectly with our bookish themed invite collection DELPHIE, with it's bookmark save the dates or menu choices. However, this finishing touch will work with most of our designs.
